About Rollerstop
In 2007 Katharina Scichilone had the idea for a lockable scooter rack that would bring order to the scooter chaos outside schools. It has grown into a modular parking system that is now installed all over Europe.

The Rollerstop story
- 2007
Founding Rollerstop
In 2007 Katharina Scichilone from Vienna had the idea of developing a lockable scooter stand to bring order to the scooter chaos outside schools. In the same year she founded Rollerstop as a sole proprietorship in a garage in Vienna. From the very beginning, every invention was protected by patent.
- 2007–2010
The early years in Austria
The first customer was the Gymnasium Wenzgasse, a secondary school in Vienna’s 13th district. The installation is still in operation there today, to the satisfaction of everyone involved, and has been extended over the years.
Within just a few years, the world’s first modular system with a locking bar became the de facto standard at Austrian schools.
- 2011–2015
First successes abroad
Success was not limited to Austria: only a few years after the founding, the first exports to other EU countries followed, above all to Germany, Switzerland and France.
- 2016–2018
A wider product range
In 2016 the product range was extended with skateboard holders. The e‑scooter boom brought ever larger models onto the market, so in 2018 a matching modular system designed specifically for e‑scooters followed: the eS series was born.
- 2019–2020
New compact models
In 2019 development began on a new compact design model called BAFFI (Italian for “moustache”).
Not even the pandemic year 2020 could slow development down: the CLEDO, a patent‑protected and entirely new model, joined the range. The CLEDO combines the requirements of a scooter, e‑scooter and bike stand in one product, is lockable and can be extended with an e‑charging option.
- 2021
Rollerstop GmbH
It is not only the product range that keeps growing; the organisation takes its next step too: in 2021 Rollerstop becomes a GmbH (limited company), the team grows and gets new management, the Rollerstop online shop opens and the logo gets a facelift.
Our vision
With our products we want to help promote micromobility in urban spaces. That is what we believe in and work for.
The Rollerstop philosophy
ROLLERSTOP stands for – but not only for – a brilliantly simple scooter parking system. A scooter stand promotes an environmentally friendly means of transport, so its production should not place any unnecessary burden on the environment either.
Rollerstop is Made in Austria – developed, designed and sustainably produced in Austria.
Our products are durable and maintenance‑free. Should they ever need to be dismantled and disposed of, the raw material can be recycled. Thanks to the modular system, installations can be extended without throwing out the old and buying new every time.
For packaging we use recycled material and work with cardboard only. We also recycle filling material as far as possible, which means that plastic or material with third‑party printing may sometimes be used.
For us, business success means trying to keep the balance between customer satisfaction, fair cooperation with all partners and our own satisfaction. ROLLERSTOP stands for a sustainable company.
Tested and documented
Gebrauchswert geprüft (tested for fitness for use)In 2012 the RS series was certified by TÜV AUSTRIA as “Gebrauchswert geprüft”. Since then neither the dimensions nor the way it works have changed – only the product quality has been continuously improved.
