Frequent questions from schools
- How many spaces does our school need?
- Count the parked scooters on several days and add 25% as a reserve. For new buildings and refurbishments we recommend 0.5 spaces per pupil up to age 10 and 0.7 from age 10. Schools with Rollerstop installations have between 8 and 420 spaces.
- Where should the installation go?
- Ideally on the way to the entrance, easy to see and outside escape and rescue routes. Around the installation you need room for parking and leaving. The space calculator shows length and depth for your number of spaces.
- How secure are the scooters?
- Every space has a swivelling, lockable locking bar that lies over the handlebar stem. Children lock it with their own padlock up to 6 mm. The hot‑dip galvanised steel stands up to everyday schoolyard use without maintenance.
- How much work is installation?
- The stands come in a few parts and are mounted on the wall, on the floor or free on the bracket floor stand, single‑sided or double‑sided. Scooter stands are delivered in 7–10 working days, and installation usually takes only a few hours.
- What if more children come by scooter?
- All modules line up without gaps. You can start with a smaller installation and extend it later without replacing anything.
- How does procurement work?
- Rollerstop is listed with ANKÖ, the Austrian public procurement directory. Tender texts, CAD data and foundation plans are freely available in the planner portal. For a quote, the number of spaces, the location and the preferred fixing are enough.
